Playworks manages a number of out of school childcare clubs within South East Wales. Playworks is a non profit making company with charitable aims and objectives. Playworks was launched in 2004 by Katherine Watkins, who is a chartered accountant and a former "Big 4 firm" trainee accountant in Cardiff and more recently a local authority schools auditor. Katherine spotted a gap for a business able to both provide childcare directly and offer management services such as payroll and administration services to other childcare providers. Playworks exists to provide affordable, quality childcare for you and your children within schools and local communities. Playworks Head office is based in Caerphilly. Playworks Breakfast clubs operate from 8.00 am to the beginning of the school day. Children are provided with a healthy breakfast in a welcoming and sociable environment, with light activities being offered to the children who attend. Playworks Wraparound clubs these run from the end of morning nursery school. Playworks staff collect the children at the end of the morning session and provide fun packed activities until the end of the school day. A healthy buffet style lunch is included. Playworks After school clubs theses clubs operate Monday to Friday* from the end of the school day to 6.00 pm** children attending our after school clubs are provided with wide variety of activities ranging from arts and crafts, cookery, gardening, groups games and multi sports activities. Holiday Clubs are open Monday to Friday 8.00 am until 6.00 pm during school holidays. children are offered fun packed activities to keep them entertained through the school holidays. Playworks Holiday Clubs give the children an opportunity to socialise with their friends in a safe, welcoming and fun environment while taking part in activities such as cookery, gardening and art and crafts.
